Meet The Team

In 2000, myself and Jason created Davenports, using my experience as a Tax Director to grow our brand. We’ve grown a strong team, teaching apprentice accountants and imparting my knowledge of Cloud Accounting, Tax Preparation, Business Planning, FRS, and Accounting. Since graduating from Oxford Brookes University in 1999, I’ve shown a strong accounting prowess that shows in the stature of our clients.

Scott and I created Davenports in 2000 in Oxford, and have grown our brand to include a strong team. We can safely call Bury our forever home now, and with that we have created many community driven initiatives. We have a slogan here at Davenports, ‘We’re serious about your business’. Although true, through my leadership you could take out ‘serious’ and easily substitute it with ‘care’, ‘passionate’ or ‘honest’, as that is who I am as a person. My core values can be found in every fibre of the Davenports business.

Having been with Davenports for quite some time now, I continue to enjoy the variety and challenges that come with my role in HR & Payroll. No two days are ever the same, and that’s what keeps my work both interesting and rewarding. Being customer-focused and proactive are key parts of my role, ensuring that our team and clients receive the best possible support. Teamwork is central to everything we do at Davenports, and it’s something I truly value as I continue to build on my knowledge and skills within the business.

Having been at Davenports' for a few years now I have come a long way from when I started. I've gained a plethora of skills & knowledge in business, accounting & finance which I demonstrate in my work, and I'm eager to continue learning more every day. The support of the people here at Davenports' has been nothing short of exceptional and has been pivotal to my success so far.

Since starting work at Davenports, I have thoroughly enjoyed coming into work daily and becoming part of the team. Everyday I am learning and developing new skills through dealing with a wide range of tasks. I look forward to further seeing how my work at Davenports progresses over time and feel that I am in the best environment for me to begin what will hopefully be a long and successful career in accountancy.

I joined Davenports in October 2024 as an Apprentice Accountant and have already come a long way in both my college studies and professional life. Every day I’m learning and developing new skills, from supporting clients with their accounts to working closely with the team on a variety of tasks. I particularly enjoy building relationships with clients and helping them feel confident in the work we do for their businesses. I’m looking forward to continuing my development here and growing my career in accountancy with Davenports.

I am the newest member of the Davenports team, but have been made to feel very much part of it. This is the most inclusive & supportive team I have been part of, and I believe this to be a great strength of Davenports and our ability to work well with a wide variety of clients and wide variety of client needs. I am looking forward to further consolidating my skills and competency within the accounting sector and adding value to both myself, and to Davenports.

Each day at Davenports brings something new to the table. Due to our varied client base, no two days are the same, this keeps me on my toes and allows me to continue looking for new ways and opportunities to exceed expectations. Being a designer at Davenports allows me to have the creative freedom to see your vision become a reality, with each passing day increasing my potential.
